Ms. Carmen Everall
Carmen is one of the founding committee members
of the First Annual British Columbia Peace Education
Conference held at Simon Fraser University and
the University of British Columbia; a member of
“Co-development Canada – building
partnerships for global justice”; a member
of the Vancouver Women in Film and she is an International
Guardian for The Promise Club in Cairns, Australia.
She coined the term “Global Peace
Actionist” to describe her transition
from an armchair theorist to a person motivated
into action to co-create Global Peace.
Carmen is CEO of Global Peace Productions, Inc.,
established after her encounter with terrorism
in Bali, Indonesia in 2002. She is the Executive
Producer for the documentary film "One Voice
at a Time”. She has traveled extensively
to conduct interviews with experts on terrorism
and youths for the film. This documentary has
been in development for two years and deals with
the challenges of youths faced with global terrorism.
Carmen was a Guest on Shaw Cable's Studio 4 Show
with Fanny Kiefer and she has spoken at several
global peace conferences.
Carmen T. Everall has 10 years experience in
Sales and Marketing of Corporate Computer Systems
Solutions, including that of Job Costing and Data
Collection Systems sold to Fortune 500 companies.
Carmen transitioned to the Financial Investment
Industry in 1993 after her move to B.C., Canada.
She worked as a consultant in various areas of
the industry including stocks and real estate
syndication. Carmen also successfully established
and operated the West Coast office of a National
Personal Wealth Management Corporation. Alliances
were formed with over 150 professionals such as
brokers, financial planners, accountants, major
banks and lawyers to provide sophisticated investors
with an investment product that offered tax deductions
and tax benefits.
Pete McCormack
Pete McCormack is an award-winning director,
novelist, screenwriter, playwright and musician.
His latest film, See Grace Fly, about schizophrenia,
was recently awarded a Special Jury Citation at
the Vancouver International Film Festival “…for
its harrowing depiction of a woman who has found
the edge and run straight over it, for overcoming
a deficit of resources with a surplus of heart
and intelligence, for daring to speak about faith
without preaching, for showing us that conscience
is a verb.” The film also received the Best
Actress – Gina Chiarelli at the Vancouver
International Film Festival, 2003; and the Audience
Award at Portugal’s Fantasporto, the 24th
annual Oporto International Film Festival.
Eileen Hoeter
Eileen Hoeter has been directing, producing and
editing film and television productions since
l983. She received a Leo Award for Best Informational
Series for The Creators as well as being nominated
for a Genie for Dying to be Perfect. She has worked
for companies such as WTN and CBC, as well as
government and private agencies including the
NFB, Canada’s Department of Corrections,
Canada's Science and Technology Museum, British
Columbia's Ministry of Education, Ministry of
Labour, Vancouver Aquarium and British Columbia's
Museum of Anthropology. Eileen is a Director member
of the Directors Guild of Canada, the president
of the BC Institute of Film Professionals, and
the Vancouver International Representative for
Women in Film International.
Melissa Ruckmick
Melissa Ruckmick has produced over a five year
period, the scientific and educational documentary
film “The End of Evolution” which
was rated one of the “most viewed documentary
in Canada” by the Discovery Channel. She
successfully raised one half million dollars with
co-producers for the budget of “End of Evolution”.
Melissa has lived, worked, and traveled in over
sixteen countries on four continents. She is the
winner of the Cable Television “Award of
Excellence” (Mid-west region) by the Cable
Network of Canada 1999 for the documentary “Healthy
Communities” in 1999. She is co-author of
the book “Running the River of Life”
regarding children and trauma, with Eileen Ailon
PhD (to be published in 2005). Melissa developed
relationships with renowned scientists and artists
such as Dr. Peter Ward, Dr. Niles Eldridge of
the Natural Museum of History of New York, and
Alexis Rockman. ? She was personally mentored
by Michael Scott, Director of Animation of the
National Film Board-Western Region and award winning
producer (The Big Snit, Whistling Smith).
Crew
We have assembled an experienced group of filmmakers
who share our vision of global peace to make this
documentary. We will be joined by professional
film crews on location globally to complete our
team.
